Redzone threat in Baton Rouge Green has seen a heavy dosage of redzone targets for the Tigers ahead of the 2025-26 season, Glen West of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Green was targeted four times in goal-to-go situations while working with LSU's first and second team to open Week two of fall camp. It looks like the Tigers intend to utilize the 6-foot-7 tight end's large frame around the goal line this season. Green will look to improve upon his 2024-25 season totals, during which he caught 13 receptions for 101 yards and four touchdowns while working behind second round NFL selection Mason Taylor.

Impact Mason Taylor has elected to go pro and is widely expected to sit the bowl game, meaning Green would have the chance to step in as his replacement. The freshman tight end appeared in eight games for LSU in 2024, making seven catches for 48 yards and two scores. That red-zone ability could make him useful going forward for the Tigers.
