Impact After carving out a minor role in 2018, Wheatley hasn't seen the field much for the Hokies over the last two seasons. He enters the transfer portal with two seasons of eligibility remaining and should be available immediately at his next school.

Limited by hamstring issue Wheatley has been limited in fall camp due to a hamstring injury, Mike Barber of the Richmond Times-Dispatch reports.

Impact Wheatley heads into his junior season as primarily a contributor on special teams, toughing the ball just once during 2019. Unfortunately, his chance to make a statement in fall camp may be delayed at the very least.
