Impact Hiter was banged up in fall camp and didn't play in the Wolverines' scrimmage in late August. The prized former five-star recruit is expected to be Michigan's RB2 behind returner Jordan Marshall, who ran for 932 yards and 10 touchdowns on 6.2 yards per carry last season. Still, Hiter should get plenty of work in Michigan's offense and he'll get his first chance to make an impact in Week 1.

Held out of scrimmage Hiter (undisclosed) was held out of Michigan's scrimmage Friday, according to Chris Balas of On3.com.

Impact Hiter has been banged up but will be back on the practice field and figures to have a big role in the offense this season. The running back sat out of the scrimmage and missed important reps, but his position as RB2 should still be secure. He will have the final week of fall camp to recover and get ready for the season opener Sept. 5 against Western Michigan.

Impact Hiter didn't waste time making an impact at Ann Arbor and dazzled in the spring, but he's continued that and seems to have a firm grasp on the RB2 role. That means the freshman should have immediate playing time in the Wolverines' backfield once they open their season against Western Michigan on Sep. 5.
