Sam Keltner News, Rumors, Updates - Oklahoma State Cowboys

Cashes in on Cowboys' breakout Keltner converted on 4-for-4 field-goal attempts and 3-for-3 point-after tries during Saturday's 41-24 victory versus West Virginia.

Impact Keltner played a key role in Oklahoma State's 41-point outburst, connecting on all four of his field-goal attempts from 19, 29, 30, and 47 yards. The Cowboys' offense moved the ball almost at will against West Virginia, creating plenty of scoring opportunities and allowing Keltner to deliver his best fantasy performance of the season. If Drew Mestemaker and company continue operating at this level, Keltner could become one of the more reliable kicking options in the Big 12.

Remains a reliable fantasy option Keltner went 1-for-1 on field-goal attempts and 8-for-8 on point-after tries during Saturday's 59-0 win against Murray State.

Impact Keltner continues to benefit from one of the hottest offenses in the Big 12. Oklahoma State has scored 39 and 59 points in its last two games, creating a steady stream of kicking opportunities. Looking ahead, Keltner remains a strong starting option. Even if the upcoming matchup with West Virginia turns into the shootout many expect, that could simply mean more scoring chances for the Oklahoma State kicker.

Delivers monster fantasy day Keltner connected on 4-for-4 field-goal attempts and 3-for-3 point-after tries during Saturday's 39-31 victory against Oregon.

Impact Keltner was one of the top fantasy scorers of the week at the position, drilling four field goals in an upset of the Ducks. His final field goal helped seal one of the biggest wins of the season and highlighted just how many scoring opportunities the Cowboys generated. If Drew Mestemaker and the offense can build on this breakout showing, Keltner could quickly emerge as one of the more valuable kicking options in fantasy formats.

Opportunities limited in tough opener Keltner connected on 1-for-1 field-goal attempts and 1-for-1 point-after tries during Saturday's 24-10 defeat to Tulsa.

Impact Keltner's fantasy output was capped by Oklahoma State's offensive struggled. Better days should be ahead if the offense finds its footing, but Week 1 was reminder that even talented kickers are dependent on offensive efficiency.

Making switch to Oklahoma State Keltner is transferring to Oklahoma State, he announced via X.

Impact Keltner will make the switch from SMU to the Cowboys after serving as the Mustangs' starting kicker this past campaign. The redshirt freshman boot converted 14 of 20 field-goal attempts and went 36-for-38 on XPAs in the 2025 season. He'll have a good shot at being Oklahoma State's kicker this upcoming year, especially since he'll be the only rostered kicker come spring.

Battling for starting kicker gig Keltner is in a battle with Collin Rogers for SMU's starting kicker gig ahead of Week 3 against Montana State, per Billy Embody of On3.com.

Impact Keltner has yet to attempt a field goal or PAT this season, serving as Rogers backup. However, Rogers has struggled to perform in 2025, starting the campaign 1-of-4 on field goal attempts. SMU head coach Rhett Lashlee indicated there would be a competition in practice this week between the two kickers to see if Keltner can usurp the current starter Rogers.
