Impact Brinson hasn't played since Week 4 against TCU. The wideout logged seven receptions for 92 yards prior to suffering his knee injury. It remains to be seen how much he'll be involved, but he'll be available as a target for quarterback Kevin Jennings against the Tigers.

Impact Now that SMU's 2024 regular season is over, Brinson can redshirt it and maintain eligibility for 2025. With that out of the way, he can also participate in SMU's tournament games without burning his redshirt. As a result, Brinson's injury status is questionable going into the 2024 ACC Championship Game. Defeating the Tigers then would give SMU's team a clear path to the College Football Playoff.
