Impact Daniels led the Mustangs in receptions and yards while scoring the lone touchdown during Saturday's loss against the Nittany Lions in the opening round of the CFB Playoffs. The 5-foot-9 senior will close out the season with 42 receptions for 663 yards and four touchdowns through the air, along with 44 carries for 160 rushing yards and three scores on the ground in his fourth season with the Mustangs.

Impact Eight is Daniels' new season high in receptions. By logging a touchdown Saturday, he has scored in more than half of SMU's last six games. The six-game span saw Daniels record 27 receptions for 459 yards and three touchdowns. He also logged a rushing TD.

Impact Daniels scored his second touchdown of the season against Boston College. His four receptions were the most he's reeled in all year. After seeing 15 targets over the season's first seven games, he's not seen 14 across SMU's last four matchups. That's a good sign that as quarterback Kevin Jennings continues to develop, Daniels continues to develop rapport with the signal-caller.

Impact Daniels reeled in an 81-yard touchdown and a 72-yarder to lead SMU's receivers against the Blue Devils. IT was obviously a rather flukey performance, as Daniels has now logged two catches in four straight games but Saturday against Duke were easily the most yards he's posted all season. Daniels' big-play ability could garner him more looks as the season wears on, however.

Gets involved in backfield Daniels hauled in 2 of 3 targets for 20 yards while rushing for 53 yards and a score on 15 carries during Saturday's 42-16 win over Florida State.

Impact Give all the injuries to SMU's tailbacks, someone needed to carry the football against Florida State, and Daniels helped back up the top ball-carrier Brashard Smith. He had a fairly successful day on the ground, but don't expect Daniels to become a full-time running back. The receiver, who's reeled in seven grabs for 72 yards this season, should resume his role as a pass-catcher once the Mustangs' detail of tailbacks is healthy once again.

Most productive SMU receiver in win Daniels hauled in all three targets for 28 yards during Saturday's 29-24 win over Nevada.

Impact Daniels' three catches for 28 yards won't exactly jump off the stat sheet, but he was still the Mustangs' most productive wide receiver. Tight end RJ Maryland was the big receiving threat in Week 0, significantly outpacing the production from any Mustang receiver.

Impact Daniels caught his fourth touchdown of the season Saturday, a 34-yard score in the first quarter. It came on one of his measly two targets in the game, and he has still had just one game this season where he reached 50 receiving yards and just one game where he has been targeted five times.

Impact Daniels had not seen over six touches in a game this season prior to Saturday, but left New Mexico with 16. With Rashee Rice opting out of the game, Daniels saw a significant increase in touches in both the rushing and passing game. He caught a nine yard touchdown pass in the first quarter, his fourth total touchdown this season. With the sophomore's ability in the air and on the ground, coupled with many of the Mustangs' top contributors not returning, he may be much more involved in the offense next season.

Impact Just a week ago, Daniels was one of several Mustangs players who indicated that he would sit out the remainder of the season to take a redshirt and pursue transfer options, but the sophomore wideout may have had a change of heart. Even so, Daniels' presence at practice is far from a guarantee that he'll be on the field for Friday's Week 7 game against Navy. In the three games he's played this season, Daniels has recorded two catches for 76 yards and a touchdown on four targets.
