This is a big loss for the Huskies, as Carr was expected to be a significant part of their ground game. Matters are made worse by the fact that another Washington running back, Jayden Limar, is also set to undergo surgery and has no timeframe to return.

Impact Carr left the Apple Cup with an apparent injury and has not been able to return. The 5-foot-11 running back had accounted for five carries for 28 yards as well as a single catch for four yards prior to his injury. The details and severity of the issue are thus far unknown.

During 2025, the sophomore logged four rushing attempts, so if he does record a "significant' number of carries against Washington State, he should surpass the aforementioned tally in a single setting this Sunday.

Impact During the Washington team's spring camp, Carr broke out, taking advantage of injuries to fellow running backs Jayden Limar (ankle), Trey Cooley (knee) and Jordan Washington (neck). So even though a majority of the trio is healthy, Carr will be UW's updated RB1, albeit temporarily. Even though Carr's newfound opportunity does not assure him the aforementioned role to begin his 2026 season, at least he is inching closer. Say it does not work out for the running back, he should log an improved campaign anyway, considering his 2025 was limited to fewer than five rushing attempts.

Impact The incoming redshirt freshman got a big opportunity during spring ball with rushers Jayden Limar (ankle) and Trey Cooley (knee) both unavailable, as well as Jordan Washington (undisclosed) suffering an injury. This gave Carr plenty of time to shine and make his mark with Washington's coaching staff. With all of this being said, he'll still have to duke it out with a packed room of running backs, and most of them are set to return come fall camp.
