Declares for the NFL Draft Gordon has announced his decision to enter the 2025 NFL Draft, Brian Brinkley of NBC News reports.

Impact Gordon will seek out an opportunity at the professional level following a prolific career with Oklahoma State, highlighted by a dominant 2023-24 season. During his time with the Cowboys the 6-foot-2 225lbs back totaled 537 carries for 2,920 rushing yards (5.44 YPC) and 36 touchdowns on the ground, along with 80 receptions for 585 receiving yards and four touchdowns through the air (39 games). Gordon's 2023-24 season will be one for the ages with the sophomore running back at the time posting 2,062 total yards and 22 touchdowns on 324 touches. Gordon, a running back that at one point was considered a lock to get selected in the first two rounds of the NFL Draft, will look to prove he's still got elite level physical traits through the combine following a somewhat disappointing 2024-25 campaign.

Likely end to historic career Gordon compiled four carries for 10 yards and gathered in 1 of 2 targets for 18 yards during Friday's 52-0 defeat versus Colorado.

Impact Gordon likely played his final game with the Cowboys as he still projects as an NFL player despite not following up a historic 2023 campaign. Gordon was arguably the best player in all of college football in 2023 with 285 carries for 1,732 yards and 22 total touchdowns. He didn't quite reach those heights in 2024 but still averaged 4.6 yards per carry and had 14 total touchdowns. He does still have eligibility if he wanted to come back, otherwise, Oklahoma State will be looking for a new starting running back.

Season-high output in loss Gordon totaled 15 carries for 156 yards and three touchdowns and reeled in all three targets for 30 yards during Saturday's 56-48 defeat versus Texas Tech.

Impact Gordon rushed for a season-high 156 yards for is fourth 100-yard rushing game of the year. His 10.4 yards per carry was also a season-high for the star running back. He's just 130 yards shy of consecutive 1,000-yard seasons and will have a chance at that milestone against Colorado next week.

Logs third 100-yard rushing game Gordon accrued 25 rushes for 121 yards and one touchdown and gathered in both of his targets for three yards during Saturday's 38-13 defeat versus TCU.

Impact Gordon logged his third 100-yard rushing performance of the season. He also scored a touchdown in his fourth straight game. Oklahoma State has struggled to compete offensively this year, so it's a pleasant surprise that Gordon has been able to improve his fantasy production over the last month of the season. He'll likely continue to get plenty of opportunities as the Cowboys are having a tough time at the quarterback position. They're off next week before hosting Texas Tech in Week 13.

Logs TD in third straight game Gordon tallied 11 carries for 25 yards and one touchdown and hauled in 1 of 3 targets for five yards during Saturday's 42-21 loss to Arizona State.

Impact Gordon's longest play versus the Sun Devils was nine yards. The only silver lining was that the star running back did log a touchdown in his third straight game. The Cowboys have lost six in a row and it's entirely possible they start to see what they have with some of their younger players. Gordon has logged double-digit carries in every game this season and likely will do so again at TCU next week.

Set to play Saturday Gordon (knee) is set to play in Saturday's game versus Arizona State, Scott Wright of The Oklahoman reports.

Impact Gordon is dealing with a knee injury but he is still set to play in Saturday's contest. He may be slightly limited as the team will try to protect him, but he will still likely receive a large workload.

Injured at end of game Gordon (knee) was injured in the fourth quarter of Saturday's game versus Baylor, Tim Watkins of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Gordon went down and grabbed the back of his left knee near the end of Saturday's game, a concerning moment for him. The extent of his injury is currently unknown so he should be monitored during the week.

Scores three touchdowns Friday Gordon (leg) rushed 16 times for 107 yards and two touchdowns and caught three passes for 20 yards and a touchdown in Friday's 38-35 loss to BYU.

Impact After not scoring in his previous four games, Gordon scored three touchdowns in the first half versus the ranked Cougars. He was injured in the third quarter and hobbled off the field, but was able to return to the game. Given he was able to return the injury is likely not serious, but he should still be monitored during the week ahead of Saturday's game at Baylor.

Impact It's unclear what happened to Gordon, but seeing him limping off the field isn't a good sign for the Cowboys. He had been dominating on the ground until his departure in the third quarter, racking up 100 yards and two scores in just 13 carries while also adding two catches, 22 yards and another score on the air.

Sustains injury Saturday Gordon (undisclosed) suffered an undisclosed injury early in the third quarter of Saturday's game against West Virginia, Jacob Unruh of The Oklahoman reports.

Impact Gordon suffered what looked to be a leg injury on a third down checkdown pass against the Mountaineers, staying down on the field before walking off gingerly. The 6-foot-2 junior, who is viewed as one of the top running backs in the 2025 NFL Draft class, recorded 13 carries for 50 yards prior to exiting the game. It remains to be seen if the backbone of the Cowboys' offense will be able to re-enter the game.

Impact Gordon had a great first quarter with 72 rushing yards. It was shocking to see the star running back get just four rushing yards for the remainder of the game across three more quarters of play. Gordon is averaging a career-low 3.8 yards per carry and has just one touchdown over his last four games. The only silver lining is that Gordon continues to get opportunistic volume with 17.6 rushing attempts and 3.8 targets per game. Oklahoma State will play West Virginia next week.

Limited impact against Utah Gordon compiled 11 rushes for 42 yards and gathered in 3 of 4 targets for 16 yards during Saturday's 22-19 defeat against Utah.

Impact Gordon had his lowest number of touches on the season as Utah did a good job of eliminating the star player from the gameplan. That's now two games in a row where Gordon has been held in check without a score. Oklahoma State depended heavily on the passing game which didn't work against the Utes, so Oklahoma State is going to need to get more creative against more formidable competition. It will be interesting to see if Gordon and the Cowboys can get back on track against Kansas State next week.

Impact Gordon received at least 17 carries in his third straight game this year, however, was held to a season-low 2.4 yards per carry. Oklahoma State's offense has revolved around the pass-game over the last two weeks. QB Alan Bowman took over the headlines against Tulsa with five touchdowns through three quarters of play. Gordon is still receiving elite volume and should remain in starting line-ups when the Cowboys enter a showdown with Utah.

Continues to dominate in 2024 Gordon compiled 27 rushes for 104 yards and two touchdowns and caught 4 of 5 targets for 42 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 44-20 win over South Dakota State.

Impact Gordon scored at least three touchdowns for the fourth time in his last nine games. The workhorse running back averaged 20.4 carries during the 2023 season, so it's a great sign for fantasy rosters to see him have 25+ attempts in the season opener. If Oklahoma State can get on a roll, it's possible Oklahoma State attempts to propel Gordon to a Heisman Trophy Campaign. Oklahoma State will play Arkansas next week and Gordon should be in for a huge game once again.
