Jaxxon Warren - May be frontrunner to start Warren (undisclosed) had a good spring and appears to be in lie for the Tar Heels' starting tight end gig, per 247Sports.
Impact Warren caught seven passes for 95 yards and one touchdown last season at Colorado State. He appears slated to take over the top of the Tar Heels' tight end room this fall, and the 6-foot-8, 245-pound junior looks primed to build off his numbers from 2025.

Benjamin Hall - Good spring practice period Hall had a good spring practice with UNC, per 247Sports.
Impact Hall appears primed to be part of a rotation of tailbacks, similar to how the Tar Heels operated last season. That rotation is also expected to include rising sophomore Demon June and LSU transfer Kaleb Jackson. Last fall, Hall ran for 274 yards and two scores on 3.9 yards per carry.

Miles O'Neill - Chance to win starting gig O'Neill has a shot to win North Carolina's starting quarterback gig, per 247Sports.
Impact O'Neill spent the past two seasons at Texas A&M, where he played a reserve role off the bench. He has a shot to win the Tar Heels' QB1 gig, and he's primarily battling Wisconsin transfer Billy Edwards for the job. With Edwards still hampered by a knee ailment he suffered in Madison, O'Neill could have an opening to make up some ground in the quarterback race.

Billy Edwards Jr. - Remains hampered by knee Edwards remains bothered by his knee injury in North Carolina's spring camp, per 247Sports.
Impact Edwards suffered a non-contact knee injury at Wisconsin last fall that held him out of the vast majority of the season. He appears to still be tending to the knee ailment even though he's on the practice field, and his status remains slightly murky heading into the summer. Once fully healthy, Edwards figures to be the Tar Heels' top gunslinger, although Miles O'Neill could reportedly be given a chance and has been granted some reps with the first-team offense. Western Carolina transfer Taron Dickens could also be in play.
