Impact Short received a season-high 14 carries Saturday but only gained 46 yards. He made up for it a bit in the passing game, gaining 35 yards on two catches. It marked his fifth game this season with over 80 yards from scrimmage and his first since Week 6. Next up he takes on Tulane in the AAC Conference Championship Game.

After a strong start to the season, Short has been largely kept out of the offense as of late as he has not seen more than seven carries, has not gained more than 50 yards and has not scored a touchdown in each of his last five games.

Impact Although Short recorded nearly seven yards per touch Saturday, he had a pretty quiet outing since he only had seven touches. That number of touches is not abnormal for him though -- it's the most he's had since Week 2. He has shown an ability to make big plays and find the end zone, but his lack of a consistent workload limits his value.

Impact Short had just two touches in Saturday's win, his fewest in a game this season. He accumulated a season-low 12 yards from scrimmage, giving him a very disappointing performance. It's worth noting that the Black Knights were without star quarterback Bryson Daily, so the offense did not have near the same dynamism as usual. If Daily is forced to miss Saturday's game at North Texas, it may be worth looking away from Short.

Impact Short only received four touches in Saturday's blowout win, his second fewest this season. He also gained a season-low 42 yards from scrimmage. Although it was a down week, he still has showed an ability to make big plays on limited touches, so he should remain a decent option especially with an easy stretch of games coming up.

Catches two touchdowns Saturday Short accrued three rushes for 11 yards and caught all three targets for 121 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 49-7 victory versus Tulsa.

Impact Short caught two long touchdowns Saturday as he scored a 37-yard touchdown early in the first quarter, then caught a 58-yard touchdown late in the second quarter. Despite only receiving six touches in the game, he managed to record over 130 yards for the second time this season. Short has been electric this season and given his favorable upcoming schedule, he continues to be a high upside option despite his limited touches.

Impact Short showed off his speed early in Thursday's win as he took a pitch 61 yards to the house on the Black Knights' opening drive. It marked the third time in four games he scored a touchdown. He did not receive a lot of work outside of that but still gained over 100 yards for the second time this season. After receiving 20 touches across the first two games, he has just nine in the last two contests, a slightly concerning dip in his workload. However, his ability to make big plays ensures that he will still get opportunities and with a favorable upcoming schedule, he should still produce even on limited touches.
