Impact Fifita was inefficient in Saturday's season opener, completing just 56 percent of his passes for 161 yards. He did score two touchdowns, one through the air and one on the ground, but it was not a great fantasy performance against a group of five defense. He will look to get in rhythm Saturday versus Weber State.

Not in portal after all Fifita isn't in the transfer portal after it was reported earlier that he was leaving Arizona, Justin Spears of the Arizona Daily Star reports.
Impact Fifita was reported by Rivals.com to have entered the transfer portal after a down year following his breakout 2023 campaign. However, local beat writer Justin Spears of the Arizona Daily Star has reportedly heard from a source close to the quarterback that the first report was false. Fifita, for the time being, remains a Wildcat.

Impact Fifita was considered one of the best quarterbacks in the country coming into the 2024 campaign after a stellar 2023 season. However, he threw seven less touchdown passes, six more interceptions and his completion percentage dropped from 70 to 60 percent this fall. It was a year of regression for the gunslinger, to be sure. Now, he'll look for another home, where he should have two more seasons of eligibility remaining.

Impact Arizona State thoroughly trounced Arizona in every aspect of the game, finalizing a difficult season for Fifita and first-year coach Brent Brennan. Fifita has two years of eligibility remaining, and will most likely lose top target Tetairoa McMillan to the NFL next year. A move to the transfer portal is certainly a possibility, but right now it is anyone's guess.

Impact Fifita and the rest of the offense can't take much blame for the loss, as it was Arizona's defense that failed to meet the challenge. they surrendered 14 points in the first quarter and were ultimately unable to catch up despite a late charge from Fifita and the offense in the fourth quarter. The Wildcats had an outside shot at bowl contention if they had won the game, but their season will now end against Arizona State this Saturday.

Impact Fifita did his best to turn the tide, but Arizona's defense had no answer for the Knights. The Wildcats' running game was virtually non-existent, totaling an abysmal five yards in the game. Passing lanes won't stay open for long without a rusher to threaten, and it's amazing that Fifita manager a line like this with such a deficiency.
