Impact The red-shirted freshman threw his hat in the ring to become the main running back over Christopher Brooks and Lopini Katoa. Both of those backs combined for 7 carries and 27 rushing yards against the Cowboys. Since the opening game against South Florida where Brooks ran for 135 yards, the Cougars running game has struggled so Davis is trying to fill that void. Davis and the rest of the BYU running game could be in for a big night on Thursday when they host Utah State who is near the bottom of the FBS in rushing defense.
