Moderate performance in loss Brosmer completed 15 of 23 passes for 175 yards, one touchdown and one interception during Saturday's 26-25 defeat against Penn State. He also had six rushes for three yards. Impact Brosmer found the end zone on a 21-yard pass in the second quarter, connecting with tight end Jameson Geers to give the Golden Gophers a 17-10 lead at the time. The senior quarterback struggled with turnovers on the day, however, losing a fumble and throwing his first interception sicne Week 5 against Michigan. Overall, Brosmer has had a solid year in his first season at the D-I level, throwing for 2,426 yards and 15 touchdowns to five interceptions through 11 games while adding four rushing scores as well. His final opportunity to improve his season totals will come when the Golden Gophers travel to face rival Wisconsin for Paul Bunyan's Axe.
