Murray, Arkansas State runs past UMass, posts a 35-33 win

Out for Sun Belt opener Murray (undisclosed) will not play Saturday against Old Dominion, Kara Richey of 95.3 The Ticket Jonesboro reports.

Impact Murray being out means that Arkansas State will have to lean on Johnnie Lang and Brian Snead in the backfield. Murray's next chance to return comes Oct. 1 against ULM.

Impact Although the senior didn't find paydirt on the day, his nine yards per carry led the team. While Alan Lamar earned 18 carries against the Bears, he only outrushed Murray by four yards. If Murray can keep these types of numbers up, he figures to see more work in coming weeks.
