Limited to one TD pass in road loss Jennings was 24-for-35 passing for 222 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions during Saturday's 41-31 loss to Louisville. He also had nine rushes for 35 yards.

Impact Jennings had posted some eye-popping stats in his first two starts, but Louisville did a good job throwing a blanket on his receivers. Jennings hooked up with Yamir Knight for a touchdown, but that was his only scoring strike of the season. To make matters worse, Jennings lost a fumble, and he had committed three miscues. The mistakes are masked when the team wins, but it's front and center in a loss. He should rebound nicely in the next two games with favorable home games against Missouri State of the FCS and Boston College.

Five TD passes, as SMU rolls UC Davis Jennings was 14-for-16 passing for 337 yards and five touchdowns during Saturday's 56-10 victory over UC Davis.

Impact Jennings has fired out of the chute with a pair of victories, while compiling eight touchdown passes and a pair of 300-yard performances. It's way too early to start talking Heisman Trophy consideration, but if he keeps putting up these types of gaudy offensive numbers, a trip to New York City in December could in the senior's future. Next up is a trip to Louisville next Saturday for the team's second ACC road game of the early season.
