Heading to Florida A&M Wicks has committed to play for Florida A&M for the 2024 season, per Pete Nakos of On3.com.

Impact Wicks will join the Rattlers following three seasons with Old Dominion. The 6-foot-1 running back ran for 589 yards and four touchdowns on 120 attempts for the Monarchs in 2023.

Enters transfer portal Wicks entered the NCAA's transfer portal Tuesday, Chris Hummer of 247Sports.com reports.

Impact Wicks intending to transfer costs Old Dominion's team its best option at running back and gives the transfer portal an excellent rusher that teams can now get. He broke out with at least 600 scrimmage yards and five touchdowns during his 2023 season.

Records 17 carries Wicks (undisclosed) notched 17 rushes for 60 yards and caught their only target for negative three yards during Saturday's 20-17 victory versus Georgia Southern.

Impact Wicks was Old Dominion's primary rusher during his return Saturday. Fortunately for him, it seems missing a game has not prevented him from having his role maximized. Wicks has 646 all-purpose yards (551 rushing and 95 receiving) and five touchdowns (four rushing and one receiving) across his 2023 season thus far.

Still splits work sans Calloway Wicks notched 11 carries for 56 yards and hauled in all two targets for 26 yards during Saturday's 28-24 defeat versus Coastal Carolina.

Impact After working in a timeshare with Kadarius Calloway (undisclosed)throughout most of the season, Wicks continued to split work despite Calloway being sidelined. Wicks was out carried by Obie Sanni 14 to 11. While Wicks has had some encouraging performances as of late, it appears as though he'll be bound to a committee for the duration of the 2023 campaign.

Scores twice amid backfield split Wicks logged 12 rushes for 82 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 28-21 win over Appalachian State. He added two receptions for 13 yards.

Impact Wicks shared tailback duties with Kadarius Calloway, who logged 13 carries for 104 yards. The outing marked Wicks' second consecutive contest with two rushing touchdowns, however, those four scores are his only rushing touchdowns of 2023.
