Formally opting out Woods announced Sunday that he will opt out of the 2020 season, Theo Lawson of The Spokane Spokesman-Review reports.
Impact Woods has a sickle cell trait that would put him at high risk while playing amid the coronavirus pandemic, so he'll sit out the 2020 campaign before returning to action in 2021. He filled a depth role in the Washington State receiving corps last season, logging six receptions for 58 yards.
