Hits transfer portal Semonza will enter the transfer portal, Max Olson of The Athletic reports.

Impact Semonza had a successful first season as a starter for Ball State, tossing for 2,900 yards, 25 touchdowns and 10 interceptions while completing 64.3 percent of his passes. The redshirt freshman will have three years of eligibility remaining and is likely looking to make the jump to the Power Four.

Season-high 333 yards vs. Bobcats Semonza was 29-for-47 passing for 333 yards and three touchdowns during Friday's 42-21 defeat to Ohio.

Impact Although the Bobcats rolled past the Cardinals, Semonza produced arguably his best output of the year once it was said and done. The young quarterback may not have let Ball State to the record they hoped for, but he did still compile a solid season. He finished the year with 2,900 touchdowns, 25 touchdowns, 10 interceptions and a 64.3 completion percentage.

Impact Semonza didn't have a terrible performance in the end against the Falcons, but he was unable to keep the Cardinals competitive. The young quarterback has put together great games, stat-wise, so far this season, but he hasn't been able to boost Ball State in the right direction to win games.

Impact Semonza put together a huge day against the Bulls even with the loss, which was unarguably his best game of the season. The young quarterback got to work early, dishing out his first thee touchdowns in the first half, with one more in the second to keep the Cardinals in the game throughout the matchup. Although he couldn't lead the offense to a touchdown and Ball State had to settle on a field goal before losing, Semonza showcased why he should be the starting quarterback this season and into the upcoming years of his career.

Two interceptions in close loss Semonza was 23-for-36 passing for 280 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions during Tuesday's 27-21 loss to Miami (OH).

Impact Semonza led a pretty static offense throughout the conference matchup, as the Cardinals still search for their second conference win. The young starter did amass 280 yards for the third time this season, but this was paired with a lackluster one touchdown and two interceptions. He'll look to pick it up next week against Buffalo.

The underclassman quarterback's inefficient passing as of late, and zero rushing upside stacks him at low output in terms of stats at this point in the season.

Impact Semonza didn't post an amazing game relative to his other performances this year, but he did enough to get the Cardinals the win. This trigger-happy attitude might've costed the Cardinals the win this week, but the quarterback did still surpass 300 yards for the first time this season. He'll need to balance out the picks with more touchdowns in the coming weeks if Ball State hopes to beat the conference opponents.

Impact Semonza was as good as he could've been against the Chippewas, especially after a tough week last week against Miami. Even though the underclassmen was nearly perfect, the Cardinals couldn't squeeze out the victory in the last minute of play. Nonetheless, the quarterback fantasy-wise looks to be a continuously solid player especially against conference opponents even if the team looses.

Impact Semonza and the Cardinals couldn't move at all against Miami's defense, as was expected for the matchup. The 5-foot-11 quarterback had a promising start to his season last week with 262 passing yards and four touchdowns, and he should be able to perform in similar ways against team's not making runs for the CFP like the Hurricanes.

Impact Back in April, Ball State's football team played a spring game during which Semonza received the most reps among Cardinals quarterbacks. The spring game indicated what is expected to be prevalent during BSU's 2024 season. Semonza began Ball State's 2023 campaign as its primary quarterback, struggling before he decided to redshirt that year. Ideally for him, his second chance as a starter leads to previously unseen success.
