Impact Marks provided the Trojans with the physical, tone-setting rushing threat that the team was looking for in the transfer portal this offseason. The fifth-year senior from Mississippi State scored a two-yard touchdown for the first score of the game, and he secured the win with a 13-yard scamper through multiple arm tackles with just over five seconds remaining. It's also encouraging that, while Marks didn't run behind perfect blocking all night, the Trojans' offensive line fared relatively well creating holes in the rushing game. He also logged 12 more carries than RB2 Quinten Joyner. Marks looks primed to shoulder much of the rushing load in what should be another explosive offense for USC this season.
