Fagnano threw for 2,250 yards in 2022 while with the University of Maine. The senior has 1,556 passing yards in six games so far in 2025 and is averaging about 50 more yards per game compared to the 2022 season, 259.3. It will definitely be a stiffer challenge for Fagnano against the Eagles defense that is in the middle of the nation against the pass.

Impact With Nick Evers (undisclosed) injured, Fagnano returned under center. On the one hand the 27 completions were a personal best at UConn, but he averaged only 8.5 yards per completion. If Evers is still on the shelf, Fagnano will have a tough time against a UMass defense (Nov. 30) that is in the top 10 in the country against the pass. Most of the opponents preferred the run, the Minutemen defense has given up 193 yards per game on the ground and approximately 3 rushing touchdowns per game.

If he starts the next game against Syracuse, Nov. 23, he might have a tougher time throwing the ball against the Orangemen defense that is top 40 in the country against the pass.

Leads the way in relief Fagnano completed 24 of 41 passes for 272 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions during Saturday's 29-20 win over Temple. He also had seven rushes for negative three yards.

Impact It was Fagnano's best game as a starter this season against a FBS team. He threw for 328 yards and five touchdowns against FCS Merrimack on Sept. 7. The lone negative against Temple was the two interceptions. With a bye week this coming weekend, Fagnano might return as the backup with a possible return of starting quarterback Nick Evers with head injury. If he does start on Oct. 19 against Wake Forest, the senior could be in for a big game against Demon Deacons whose defense is near the bottom against the pass in the country.
