Impact Even though Kevorian Barnes saw most of the first-team reps out of the backfield, there were some sequences in which Payne was seen working with the first-team offense. He reportedly had a strong showing in the scrimmage, and he seems to be inching closer to securing the No. 2 role out of the backfield. Payne notched 239 yards and three scores on 54 carries across 11 games in 2024.
