Commits to North Carolina
Warren (undisclosed) has committed to North Carolina, Pete Thamel of ESPN reports.
Impact
Despite logging fewer than 100 receiving yards and only one touchdown during 2025, Warren will transfer to a Power Conference team. It looks like North Carolina's program is depending on a healthy Warren, whose latest season barely includes multiple games. Considering the tight end's overall unavailability, his seven receptions for 95 yards and one touchdown come off more impressively. Now that Warren's 2026 season has a team, his focus shifts to recovery.

Will enter transfer portal
Warren (undisclosed) plans to enter the transfer portal, Pete Thamel of ESPN.com reports.
Impact
Warren will search for a new team after playing in just two games this season before suffering what became a season-ending injury. The redshirt sophomore's seven catches for 95 yards and a touchdown in just two showings this campaign make it likely that he'll find a competitive suitor in the portal. He has two years of eligibility remaining.

May not return in 2025
Warren (undisclosed) isn't expected to return to action in 2025, per Kevin Lytle of the Fort Collins Coloradoan.
Impact
Warren hasn't played since Week 2, and with only three games left in the season, it doesn't look good for the tight end to get back on the field. Rocky Beers has been the Rams' top tight end in his stead.

Warren (undisclosed) is out for Saturday's game at Wyoming.
Impact
Warren will miss his sixth consecutive game Saturday as he continues to deal with an undisclosed injury. He started off the season with six catches for 79 yards and a touchdown versus Washington, but an injury in Week 2 has cost him every game since. His next chance to play is after a bye versus UNLV on Nov. 8.

Warren (undisclosed) is out for Saturday's game against Hawaii.
Impact
Warren will miss a fifth straight game due to injury and is unclear when he'll be able to return to action. His next chance to play will come against Wyoming on Oct. 25. With Warren out, Rocky Beers should continue to handle most of the snaps at TE.

Warren (undisclosed) is out for Friday's game against SDSU.

Sidelined vs. Wazzu
Warren (undisclosed) won't play against Washington State, per Kevin Lytle of the Fort Collins Coloradoan.
Impact
Warren was considered to have an outside shot to play Saturday night, and indeed, the tight end won't be available for the Rams. He'll now miss his second straight game, and Rocky Beers should slide into the starting tight end spot once again.

Outside chance to return
Head coach Jay Norvell indicated that Warren (undisclosed) has an outside chance to return against Washington State on Saturday, per Kevin Lytle of The Coloradoan.
Impact
Warren previously missed Colorado State's last game against UTSA due to an undisclosed injury and appears to be possibly heading towards another missed contest. The 6-foot-8 tight end had previously caught seven passes for 95 yards and a touchdown for the Rams through their first two games of the season before going down with the injury. With the implication of an outside chance at a return, Warren can likely be looked at as doubtful for Saturday's contest.

Unavailable Saturday
Warren will not play in Saturday's game versus UTSA, Kevin Lytle of the Fort Collins Coloradoan reports.
Impact
It's unclear what's holding Warren from playing. He opened the season fire with six catches for 79 yards and a score but was quieted the following week with just one catch for 16 yards. It's possible he suffered an injury in that second game and will now miss Saturday's contest. His next chance to return will be Sept. 27 versus Washington State.

Top option in opener
Warren recorded six receptions (on 11 targets) for 79 yards and a touchdown during Saturday's 38-21 defeat to Washington.
Impact
After missing all of 2024 with a shoulder injury, Warner broke out in his collegiate debut, leading the Rams in receptions, yards and targets while hauling in Brayden Fowler-Nicolosi's lone touchdown pass. If Saturday's performance is any indication, Warner has a chance to be one of the more productive tight ends in the nation this season.

Listed at top of depth chart
Warren is listed as a starter ahead of Saturday's Week 1 matchup against Washington.
Impact
Warren seems to have edge Rocky Beers for the starting nod at tight end, though it wouldn't be surprising if both see prominent roles on offense. Warren is a sophomore who didn't log any counting stats in the 2024 season.

ROTOWIRE
Slated for sizable role
Warren is expected to emerge as a pass-catching weapon for the Rams this fall, Kevin Lytle of the Fort Collins Coloradoan reports.
Impact
Colorado State has big expectations for Warren, a converted high school quarterback, in the tight end position this fall. The 6-foot-8 redshirt sophomore tallied 17 receptions for 308 yards and two touchdowns with Navarro College (JUCO) during the 2023-24 season, before transferring over to Colorado State. Warren, who missed the entire 2024-25 season after undergoing shoulder surgery, has been a standout performer all offseason. Warren continues to linger around the Rams' quarterbacks at practice, but CSU has high hopes for his pass-catching ability this fall.

Impact
Now, the earliest Warren can log his FBS debut is 2025. Vince Brown, Peter Montini and Jordan Williams are tight ends who could benefit from their injured teammate's absence.
