Opens scoring in Tallahassee Cooper went for four receptions for 71 yards and a touchdown during Monday's 27-24 win over Florida State.

Impact There might have been a power outage in Tallahassee to start Monday's game, but Cooper was certainly electrifying once the game started. He scored the first touchdown of SMU's season on a 50-yard connection with QB Kevin Jennings just 5:29 into the game. He opened his freshman season with a touchdown against East Texas A&M on Aug. 30, 2025 last season, and followed that up with a score in his second game, too. He'll look to make it 2-for-2 with a TD against UC Davis on Saturday.
