Impact If Croskey-Merritt misses this game it would be his third straight after starting the season strong with over 100 yards and score. At this point it appears doubtful that Croskey-Merritt will be cleared in time to play in the game Saturday night.

The 5-foot-11 graduate student tallied 13 carries for 106 yards and a score during Arizona's season opener against his former team New Mexico, and he looks to be a large piece of the Wildcats' rushing gameplan when available. Should Croskey-Merritt miss Friday's contest with Kansas State, this should clear the way for Kedrick Reescano (seven carries for 71 yards and a score in Week 2), to continue handling a larger workload for Arizona.

Impact Head coach Brent Brennan revealed that the senior running back did not play in Week 2 due to concerns regarding his eligibility and that they were being "over cautious" by not playing him. There's currently no timetable for a resolution, so in the meantime, Croskey-Merritt will remain sidelined. This is a huge loss for Arizona, as the senior rushed 189 times for 1,190 yards and 17 touchdowns in 2023 while opening the 2024 campaign with a 13-carry, 106-yard effort that also saw him find the end zone.
