Canion has committed to Georgia for the 2026 season, On3.com reports.
Impact
Canion will link up with the Bulldogs after a two-season career with Georgia Tech. In the 2025 campaign, the 6-foot-4 wide receiver reeled in 32 grabs for 467 yards and four touchdowns. He'll have two years of eligibility to play out with Georgia.

Entering transfer portal
Canion is entering the NCAA's transfer portal, Hayes Fawcett of On3 reports.
Impact
While at Georgia Tech for two seasons, Canion went from a highly touted prospect to a top option, which explains why he is giving the transfer portal a go. Between his multiple campaigns, the wide receiver logged 38 receptions for 550 yards and four touchdowns.

Reels in two touchdowns
Canion gathered in 4 of 7 targets for 67 yards and two touchdowns during Saturday's 42-28 defeat to Pittsburgh.
Impact
Canion found the end zone for the first time since Week 4. The sophomore wideout has been a consistent member of this passing attack with 28 grabs for 413 yards this fall, but Saturday was easily his biggest day of the year. He'll look to build off this performance against Georgia to close out the regular season.

Scores in Week 4
Canion hauled in all two targets for 44 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 45-24 victory versus Temple.
Impact
Canion scored his second touchdown this fall in a rout of Temple. After a quiet Week 1, he posted nine grabs for 153 yards and two scores through three games. The Yellow Jackets will continue to live and die by the ground game, but Canion could be carving out some nice steady volume as a wideout here for a surging Georgia Tech team.

Reels in touchdown
Canion gathered in all two targets for 53 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 59-12 win over Gardner-Webb.
Impact
Canion was only targeted twice, but he certainly made the most of those limited looks. Still, the receiver has only been targeted three times through two games, which doesn't bode well for fantasy purposes. He also has a tough matchup in Week 3 against Clemson.

Listed as starter
Canion is listed as a starter for Georgia Tech's upcoming game Friday at Colorado, Chad Bishop of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Impact
Bishop publicized Georgia Tech's depth chart, whose starting wideouts include Eric Rivers, Malik Rutherford and Canion. The third receiver's 2024 season includes six receptions for 83 yards. If the depth chart is accurate, Canion's 2025 should include a statistical improvement.

Good to practice
Canion (shoulder) is good to practice, Jackson Caudell of Sports Illustrated reports.
Impact
Limited during the spring, Canion being that status is not a problem going into August. After beginning his football career as a quarterback, he changed positions to wide receiver. Canion offers size, speed, immediate adaptation and position versatility, all of which have impressed his first college head coach. Perhaps all that can bode well for Canion's statistical output during 2024.
