Impact Welcing is coming off a career year at Northwestern in which he secured 28 catches for 296 yards and two touchdowns. Now, with one year of eligibility remaining, the 6-foot-3, 250-pound tight end will join the Buckeyes and look to make an instant impact in their tight end room.

Impact Welcing will move on from the Wildcats after posting 28 catches for 296 yards and 2 touchdowns during the 2025 season. The 6-foot-3 tight end will have one year of eligibility to serve out with a new team.

Although Northwestern's passing offense ranks just 118th nationally in yards per game, Welcing could be more of a factor the final two games as his role in the offense has grown with 18 targets over his last four games.
