Elijah Holmes News, Rumors, Updates - Buffalo Bulls | FOX Sports

Out for remainder of season Holmes (knee) will undergo surgery and sit out the remainder of Buffalo's 2026 season, Marquel Slaughter of The Buffalo News reports.

Impact Holmes began his 2026 season on a strong note, finishing Week 1 with 26 completions for 189 yards and three touchdowns against Albany. Unfortunately for him, he suffered the knee injury during Buffalo's next game against Florida International. After weeks of questions about Holmes' immediate availability, his 2026 season will end with just two starts under his belt. In his place, Jason Wright is projected to remain Buffalo's starting quarterback.
