Heading to Washington Johnson has announced that he will transfer to Washington for the 2023-24 season, Adam Rittenberg of ESPN.com reports.

Impact Johnson will make the move to Washington after spending three seasons with Mississippi State. The junior running back excelled both as a ball carrier, and as a receiving threat out of the backfield with the Bulldogs, totaling 229 carries for 1,198 yards, 149 receptions for 864 receiving yards and 12 total touchdowns, across 33 games. Johnson will look to take on a larger role with the Huskies next season.

Career highs in win Johnson rushed 17 times for 100 yards and two touchdowns Saturday against Arkansas, while also catching two passes for 49 yards out of the backfield.

Impact It was the best game of Johnson's collegiate career, as he rushed for 100 yards for the first time, while also scoring multiple touchdowns. However, Johnson has at least 50 rushing yards in every game this season, as well as at least 20 yards through the air in those outings. He will remain an integral part of the offense at Kentucky next weekend.
