Derek Eusebio News, Rumors, Updates - Arizona State Sun Devils

Available against Kansas Eusebio (undisclosed) is available for Saturday's game at Kansas.

Impact Eusebio is set to make his season debut after dealing with an undisclosed injury that prevented him from appearing in the Sun Devils' first two games. The wideout isn't expected to play a big role in the passing attack but could see some snaps against the Jayhawks on Saturday.

Practice participant Eusebio (undisclosed) is practicing for Arizona State, Ethan Ignatovsky of On3 reports.

Impact Eusebio recently saw action as part of Arizona State's second-team offense in 11-on-11 action against the ASU scout-team defense. Though the wide receiver's return timeline remains unclear, ASU's latest practice indicates that he is making at least some form of progress.

DNP for Week 1 Eusebio (undisclosed) did not play during Saturday's 70-7 win against Morgan State.

Impact Even though Arizona State's 2026 season began comfortably, the team could not dish out the prospect of using its injured wideout to commence said campaign. ASU will have more difficult games moving forward, giving the wide receiver little leeway to ease back into FBS action.

SEPTEMBER 6 • ROTOWIRE

Held out during scrimmage Saturday Eusebio (undisclosed) did not participate in Arizona State's scrimmage Saturday, Ethan Ignatovsky of On3.com reports.

Impact This is a tough setback for Eusebio, who had just returned to the Sun Devils' fall camp after missing the spring practice period. He dealt with an undisclosed injury during the spring, so there is a possibility that the same issue has resurfaced. The wideout had a productive season with Arizona State last year, recording 22 receptions for 341 yards and two touchdowns, so he figures to be involved in the passing game once again, provided he is healthy for the season opener on Sept. 5 against Morgan State.

Back to practicing Eusebio (undisclosed) is back to practicing during Arizona State's fall camp, Anthony Totri of GoPHNX.com reports.

Impact Because of an undisclosed injury, Arizona State's spring camp did not include Eusebio. Fortunately for ASU, his availability is no longer an immediate problem. During the Sun Devils' 2025 season, he logged 22 receptions for 341 yards (15.5 averaged per catch) and two touchdowns. For 2026, Eusebio is undisputedly among ASU's top wideouts.

Scores again Saturday Eusebio posted four receptions (on nine targets) for 87 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 42-17 victory versus Colorado.

Impact Eusebio scored his second touchdown of the season Saturday, a 68-yard reception from Jeff Sims, his second straight game with a touchdown catch. He has found a sizable role in the Sun Devils' offense late in the season, totaling 10 catches (on 16 targets) for 161 yards and two scores over the last two games. He will look to keep that momentum going Friday versus Arizona in the regular season finale.

Scores on sole catch Eusebio hauled in 1 of 2 targets for 64 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 49-7 win over Arizona.

Impact The blowout allowed the Sun devils to reach deep into the depth chart, and Eusebio saw the most action of his short career. The redshirt freshman only appeared in four games this season, but he'd need a medical hardship request to get another redshirt. He'll move up the depth chart to be one of Sam Leavitt's top targets next season.

Sees notable involvement Eusebio was observed playing notable second-team reps during Wednesday's practice session, Hod Rabino of Rivals.com reports.

Impact It was surprising to see the redshirt freshman wide receiver getting work in with the second team, as he is currently not listed on the second-team. Although it may be too early to expect a sizable role for Eusebio, it does set the expectation for him to have a larger role for this offense in the future.
