Impact With Tayven Jackson struggling, Belfort took over the offense on the final drive of the game with just a three-point deficit. He was very effective on the ground taking five carries for 36 yards, but he was intercepted on his lone pass attempt with 11 seconds left on the clock. Given Jackson's recent struggles, Belfort may have a chance to start in Saturday's difficult contest at Texas Tech.

Scores TD in relief Belfort completed 2 of 3 passes for 35 yards during Saturday's 45-13 win versus West Virginia. He also had five rushes for 30 yards with one touchdown.

Impact Belfort led a one drive towards the end of Saturday's blowout win and looked good. He threw for 35 yards on just two completions and ran for another 30 yards and scored a 10-yard rushing touchdown, the first of his collegiate career. He's unlikely to play much throughout the rest of the season barring an injury crisis, but he looked good in his first real action of his career.
