Impact Donaldson has catapulted to the number one spot in the backfield with three 100-yard rushing performances in his first four games as a collegiate player. Against the Hokies, he was clearly the Mountaineers' favorite option out of the backfield with a team-high 23 carries. West Virginia has turned back to a run-first approach, so look for Donaldson to be a hot play at Texas next week.

Keeps scoring touchdowns Donaldson rushed for 101 yards and three touchdowns on nine carries in Saturday's 65-7 win over Towson.

Impact Despite receiving just 32 touches through three games, Donaldson has six touchdowns and is quite possibly the most electric true freshman in the nation. He's already posted two 100-yard rushing performances in two games where he had single-digit touches. While Tony Mathis has averaged around 16 carries per game, West Virginia will need to find more frequent ways to get the young Donaldson the ball. West Virginia will play at Virginia Tech on Thursday night.
