Impact Hayden was spotted in a walking boot prior to Saturday's game versus UTSA and sat out the contest. Fortunately, it appears the issue was relatively minor, so the junior should be part of the backfield mix his week for Illinois. He could also be in line for a few added carries with Mike Epstein (undisclosed) set to miss the contest.

Impact Hayden totaled four carries for 12 yards in last week's season opener against Nebraska, but he apparently sustained a foot injury. It seems as though he'll be unavailable Saturday, and it's not yet clear when he'll be able to return.
