GAME LOG

Good to go Saturday Tate (Undisclosed) was left off the injury report ahead of Saturday's game against Oregon, Stefan Krajisnik of The Jackson Clarion-Ledger reports.
Impact As expected, Tate will suit up for Saturday's contest after missing the Buckeyes' Week 6 game against Iowa due to an undisclosed injury. Through four games, Tate has caught 14 passes for 219 yards and a touchdown.

On track to play vs. Ducks Tate (undisclosed) is on track to make his return in a huge Saturday night clash between Ohio State and Oregon, Stefan Krajisnik of Cleveland.com reports.
Impact Tate missed last week against Iowa, but had put together a strong season up until that point. The sophomore wideout has 14 grabs for 219 yards and a touchdown across four games. His return will be welcome for a Buckeyes team that's going to need everything it's got against Oregon in Autzen Stadium.

Impact Tate went through warmups, was in uniform pre-game and worked with the first-team offense in early warmup drills. That's about as indicative as you can get that he'll play, but Ohio State appears to be exercising caution with its sophomore wideout and holding out of the game against Iowa.

Warming up with first team Tate (undisclosed) was spotted warming up with the first-team offense, Dillon Davis of the Delaware Gazette reports.
Impact Tate was spotted warming up in-uniform, and now he's taking reps with the first team. That points to the wideout being available against Iowa, although nothing is for certain just yet.

In uniform ahead of game Tate (undisclosed) is suited up and warming up ahead of Ohio State's clash with Iowa, Patrick Murphy of 247Sports.com reports.
Impact Tate has yet to miss a game this season, and he'll remain a game-time call. The sophomore wideout has logged 14 grabs for 219 yards this fall. If Tate can't play, expect to see more of Brandon Inniss against the Hawkeyes.
OCTOBER 5, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Questionable Saturday Tate is questionable for Saturday's game against Iowa due to an undisclosed injury, Joey Kaufman of The Columbus Dispatch reports.
Impact It's unclear what injury Tate is dealing with or when it occurred. He's taken a noticeable jump in year two, totaling 14 catches for 219 yards and a touchdown through four games so far. Should he end up being ruled out, Brandon Inniss would be a name to receive more snaps.
OCTOBER 5, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Three catches in win Tate recorded three receptions (on five targets) for 52 yards during Saturday's 38-7 victory against Michigan State.
Impact Tate continued his run of stady consistency, logging exactly three or four catches and between 45 to 64 yards for the fourth time this season. While his role as WR3 appears to be securely established, the 6-foot-3 sophomore still isn't putting up nearly the same numbers as graduate senior Emeka Egbuka and standout true freshman Jeremiah Smith, as they combined for 12 catches (on 16 targets) for 179 yards and two touchdowns. Tate also has not logged a receiving touchdown since the season opener against Akron. Unless Egbuka and/or Smith miss time with injury moving forward, it's unlikely that Tate will get enough targets to make him a reliable waiver-wire pickup or even a high-upside play in DFS leagues.
SEPTEMBER 29, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Another solid outing Week 4 Tate tallied four catches (on four targets) for 64 yards during Saturday's 49-14 victory over Marshall.
Impact Tate saw almost the exact same target share for the thrid game in a row, as he's now logged five, three and four targets in the first three games of the year. The 6-foot-3 sophomore was also once again among the top three receivers for the Buckeyes, as he's emerged as the clear third receiving option behind fifth-year senior Emeka Egbuka and true freshman phenom Jeremiah Smith. While he should see a consistent workload moving forward, it seems like Tate will only have worthwhile fantasy value if either Egbuka and/or Smith miss time with injury at some point this season. Star running backs Quinshon Judkins and TreVeyon Henderson also figure to eat up a siginficant share of the Buckeyes' scoring opportunities this season. Ohio State opens it's conference schedule this coming Saturday versus Michigan State.
SEPTEMBER 21, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Three more catches Week 2 Tate caught all three targets for 45 yards during Saturday's 56-0 win against Western Michigan.
Impact Tate once again played in a secondary role for this highly-talented Buckeyes receiving corps. The 6-foot-3 wideout saw similar production overall, though this week he actually wound up tying with fellow sophomore Brandon Inniss for the team's third-most targets Saturday. Ohio State has clear top-two receiving options between freshman phenom Jeremiah Smith and fifth-year senior Emeka Egbuka. But, with back-to-back blowout wins to begin the season, it's unclear how the targets will break out for Tate, Inniss and senior Jayden Ballard moving forward. The next opportunity to monitor their usage will come Saturday, Sept. 21 versus Marshall.
SEPTEMBER 9, 2024 • ROTOWIRE
Grabs touchdown in season opener Tate notched four receptions (on five targets) for 58 yards and one touchdown during Saturday's 52-6 victory against Akron.
Impact Tate had a relatively quiet Week 1 performance before scoring a 34-yard touchdown to go up 45-6 early in the fourth quarter. The sophomore found himself in the starting group Week 1, as he was one of just three pass-catchers to log at least five targets along with senior Emeka Egbuka (seven) and true freshman phenom Jeremiah Smith (nine). The latter also showed why he'll be the immediate No. 1 WR, grabbing the team's first two touchdowns while making a number of highlight plays in his collegiate debut. With Smith already en route to stardom and Egbuka as the veteran presence in the room, Tate will likely look to carve out a role as a reliable third receiving option.
