Impact Edwards was knocked out of Michigan State's loss to Nebraska and was carted off the field. Later, he was spotted on crutches, so it's not all that surprising that the tailback's injury is severe. Still, this is a huge blow to the Spartans offense as they lose their best player who had posted 339 total yards and four touchdowns thus far in 2026. In his stead, expect Jaziun Patterson and Marvis Parrish to hold down Michigan State's backfield, although they have a tough matchup right out of the gate on the road at Wisconsin's stifling run defense.
