Impact Douglas, a Florida transfer, had a successful debut at Texas Tech with a touchdown in his first game with the new team. He's already matched his touchdown total from a year ago, so it will be interesting to see if he can fight for targets in a loaded offense for the Red Raiders. Texas Tech will play at Washington State next week.

Standing out in fall practice Head coach Joey McGuire named Douglas, among others, as a standout in the receiver room heading into 2024, per Nathan Giese of LubbockOnline.com.

Impact Douglas transferred in from Florida during the offseason hoping to gain a larger role within the offense, and has apparently gone a long way towards doing so. McGuire's comments indicate that the junior receiver will likely be in contention for one of the starting spots for the Red Raiders heading into 2024. Douglas caught 11 passes for 133 yards and a score in just five games for the Gators in 2023 before suffering a lower leg injury.
