Breaking out as top-receiver option
Rowe is emerging as UCLA's top-wideout option, according to Pete Nakos of On3.com.
Impact
There is no doubt that Rowe will hold a starting role in the receiver room for the Bruins this season, and there is growing belief he could emerge as Nico Iamaleava's top target. The wideout is currently competing in a revamped receiving corps that is actively searching for a true WR1 for Iamaleva. With fall camp at the midway point, Rowe still has time to continue to separate himself from fellow wideouts Landon Ellis and Semaj Moran.

Commits to UCLA
Rowe will transfer to UCLA, per Hayes Fawcett of On3.com.
Impact
Rowe caught 19 passes for 149 yards and one touchdown in his true freshman year at South Carolina. The wideout will now take his talents to UCLA, where he'll have three seasons of eligibility remaining with the Bruins. He should immediately compete for snaps in Westwood after he got involved right away with the Gamecocks.

Seeks greener pastures
Rowe will enter the transfer portal, per Matt Zenitz of CBSSports.com.
Impact
Rowe was a limited part of the Gamecocks' passing game in 2025, his true freshman season. He caught 19 passes for 149 yards and a touchdown, but evidently is looking to be significantly more involved in the offense. He'll have three years of eligibility remaining at his next stop.

Not listed on injury report
Rowe (suspension) isn't listed on South Carolina's injury report ahead of the Gamecocks' tilt with Alabama.
Impact
Rowe missed Week 8 while serving an in-house suspension for violating team rules. Thus, even though he's not listed on South Carolina's injury report, it's impossible to know at this juncture whether or not the true freshman wideout, who has 10 grabs for 89 yards and a score this year, will play.

Suspended for violation of team rules
Rowe missed Saturday's 26-7 loss to Oklahoma due to a suspension for a violation of team rules, David Cloninger of The Charleston Post and Courier reports.
Impact
Rowe, along with two of his teammates, was suspended for Saturday's game. It's not clear exactly what he did, but it was serious enough to cost him a game. It's reported that it will likely only be a one-game suspension, so Rowe should be back next Saturday versus Alabama.

Ruled out Saturday
Rowe (undisclosed) is out for Saturday's game versus Oklahoma.
Impact
Rowe has been ruled out for Saturday's contest due to an undisclosed injury. He did not appear on Wednesday's injury report, so it's possible he suffered the injury during practice. It's an unfortunate turn of events for the true freshman as he has established a role in the offense, totaling 10 catches (on 17 targets) for 89 yards across the last five games.
