Wisconsin RB Braelon Allen declares for NFL Draft Allen, a 19-year-old junior, rushed for 3,494 yards and 35 touchdowns in three years for the Badgers before declaring for the draft.

Rolls downhill in rivalry win Allen totaled 26 carries for 165 yards and two touchdowns and hauled in all three targets for 27 yards during Saturday's 28-14 victory against Minnesota.

Impact Allen came through with his most productive outing of the season during this heated rivalry matchup for the Badgers. The junior running back logged season highs in both rushing yards and receiving yards, including his longest reception of the season with a 24-yard gain off a schemed checkdown pass just before the end of the first half. He then took control to start the second half, as he broke a 50-yard run before plunging into the end zone on a four-yard score on Wisconsin's second drive of the third quarter. Allen was banged up and in and out of the lineup over the back half of the season. But, he still capped off the regular season with over 20 carries in back-to-back games, marking his first time doing so this season. Per Zach Heilprin of 1670AM The Zone Madison, Allen declined to say postgame whether or not this was his last game for the Badgers, leaving his status for the team's upcoming bowl game apparently up in the air.

Impact Allen saw a full workload for the first time since suffering a lower-leg injury in the first half of the Week 10 loss to Ohio State. The junior running back, who has served as a bellcow back when fully healthy in the past, grinded out yards while logging over 20 carries for just the third time this season. This included two short-yardage touchdowns with a two-yard touchdown to put Wisconsin up 17-14 midway through the third quarter followed by a three-yard score where his offensive line helped push him into the end zone for the game-sealing TD in overtime. Allen was also called upon for a crucial fourth-down conversion just prior to his second score, showing his great importance to this offense's success. The Badgers' offense will likely need another vintage performance from Allen in order to pull out a road win during next week's regular-season finale at Minnesota.
