Grabs TD in win over Texas Cupp caught all four of his targets for 65 yards and a touchdown in Saturday's 37-34 win over Texas in overtime.

Impact Cupp was able to record his first collegiate touchdown. Prior to the four-catch game, the junior had just two catches for 26 yards and two targets. Texas Tech will play at Kansas State next week.

Impact The former Texas A&M Aggie will look to find his footing in Lubbock after an injury-plagued start to his career in College Station. Cupp, one of the top tight end recruits in the 2019 recruiting cycle, did not record any receptions during his time at Texas A&M but did appear in 10 games in 2021. He will be immediately eligible for the Red Raiders.

Impact Cupp has been limited in camp due to a leg injury, but appears to be on track to play in the opener. Cupp was the No. 1 tight end in the 2019 class, but injuries have derailed his career. He will hope to stay healthy in 2021 and if that's the case he could emerge as a key contributor for the Aggies, even if he is behind Jalen Wyndermyer on the depth chart.

Impact After missing the 2019 season due to an ankle injury and the 2020 season due to a shoulder injury, Cupp is currently healthy and slated to make his debut for the Aggies in 2021. The redshirt sophomore was the highest ranked tight end recruit in the class of 2019, so his premiere is heavily anticipated. If Cupp can stay healthy, he will likely split time at tight end with junior Jalen Wydermyer.
