Signs with Alabama A&M Smith has signed with Alabama A&M, according to the college's announcement Wednesday.

Impact Smith was not expected to be a starting quarterback for an FBS school right away after 2023, so he will go down a division for better opportunities. While enrolled at Miami (OH) this year, he logged more than 900 scrimmage yards and multiple touchdowns, which is better than most quarterbacks coming down from the FBS level.

Impact Smith enters the portal after four seasons with the Redhawks. The redshirt sophomore quarterback completed 48 of 96 passes for 638 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions across nine games this season while also carrying the ball 75 times for 280 yards and one score.
