Impact Upshaw decided to use his final year of collegiate eligibility granted due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The redshirt senior wideout appeared in ten games for the Mustangs last season, hauling in 14 of 21 targets for 103 yards, but saw a dip in both production and opportunities compared to his redshirt junior season in 2020 (18 receptions on 25 targets and 218 yards). He will go into his final year as the longest-tenured receiver on SMU's roster.
