FAMU football lands former 4-star running back, Pitt transfer A.J. Davis A.J. Davis spent time at Pitt before injuries derailed his 2020 season. Before committing to FAMU, he was on board to play at James Madison.

Returns to transfer portal Davis has re-entered the transfer portal after previously committing to James Madison, Matt Zenitz of On3.com reports.

Impact Davis played four years at Pittsburgh before deciding to transferred to James Madison in late 2021, but he has decided to re-enter the transfer portal. The running back led the Panthers in rushing in 2019 with 530 yards for four touchdowns, but has since seen his role with the team decrease. In his final season with the team, Davis rushed for just 21 yards on two attempts his lack of playing time likely fueled his decision to leave. With only a short time until football season begins, Davis is looking for another destination to utilize his final season of eligibility.
