Colby Garland - Another big scoring game Garland registered 24 points (8-16 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 8-9 FT), four rebounds and five assists over 34 minutes during Saturday's 88-78 loss to Wyoming.
Impact The senior has now scored more than 20 points in 10 straight contests. Garland is averaging 20.3 points per game on the year, good for the second in the Mountain West behind Dra Gibbs-Lawhorn (21.0). The point guard will lead the Spartans into the Mountain West Conference Tournament this week, in which, as the No. 11 seed, they will take on sixth-seeded Boise State in a first-round matchup Wednesday.

Gavin Gores - Scores 20 off the bench Gores produced 20 points (7-7 FG, 6-6 FT) and five rebounds over 17 minutes before fouling out of Saturday's 88-78 victory over San Jose State.
Impact Gores didn't miss a shot from the field or a free throw Saturday and ended with more points than minutes played. The freshman appears healthy again after missing five games in February with an undisclosed injury, as he also scored efficiently and in double figures (11 points on 3-3 FG, 5-6 FT) in his last game, a win over Nevada on March 3. The center will try to keep it going as the Cowboys open the Mountain West Conference Tournament this week, playing UNLV in a first-round matchup Wednesday.
