Impact McKinney missed his first game of the season in Saturday's loss to Gonzaga, but thankfully for him the absence is short lived. He is back in the starting lineup to play San Francisco which will be a huge addition for the Toreros as McKinney is averaging 14.4 points, 3.9 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.7 steals this season.

Impact It was a tough loss for San Diego against the best team in the West Coast Conference, as McKinney is the team's primary point guard and second-leading scorer at 14.4 ppg. As a result of McKinney's absence, Deuce Turner saw more ball-handling duties, while Kevin Patton stepped into the starting lineup for the first time this season. McKinney's next chance to return will be Thursday against San Francisco.

Impact An undisclosed problem prevented McKinney from participating in San Diego's game Monday versus Sonoma State. Fantasy managers should expect the healthy guard to continue being valued, but as a sixth man until further notice. Seikou Sisoho Jawara (who transferred from Weber State) and Jase Townsend are San Diego's starting backcourt now.

Impact McKinney has started the last seven games for the Torreros and is seeing plenty of ball-handling minutes, though he does get a break from reserve sophomore Bryce Monroe on occasion. The production has been a bit inconsistent, but he is averaging 8.6 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.3 assists over that stretch, which includes performances of 17 and 14 points. The production may not catch the eyes of fantasy managers in WCC-heavy leagues just yet, but he's worth keeping an eye on for future seasons as long as he hangs on to this role.
