Impact Kessler was originally credited with just nine rebounds in the contest, but a stat correction was applied to give him just the second triple-double in program history. His shot-blocking prowess has been a tremendous asset for fantasy managers this season, as he's now averaging 4.2 rejections per contest, good for third in the nation and tops in SEC. Kessler recorded three blocks before LSU made its first shot Wednesday, and his 55 rejections on the year are more than North Carolina -- his former team -- has combined (43). His effort was a driving force in shutting down the undefeated Tigers, and he's showing no signs of slowing down heading into SEC play.

Impact Kessler recently aggravated a knee injury that resulted in a scoreless stat line across just eight minutes in a Dec. 4 contest against Yale. He's back in his starting role a week later, however, and has yet to miss a start in nine games this season. His averages across all counting stats are up considerably in his first year with the Tigers, and his 3.1 rejections per contest have certainly been a nice treat for fantasy managers.

Impact Kessler has stepped up his play with a rise in competition during the Battle 4 Atlantis, as he's now recorded a double-double in each game of the tournament. On the season, the 7-1 center's block total has arguably been most impressive from a statistical standpoint, as Kessler has recorded at least one rejection in each game, averaging 3.2 per contest on the year -- something he simply never got the minutes to achieve during his time with the Tar Heels last season. Kessler will look to bring this same energy into the fifth-place game against Syracuse on Friday.
