Possibly redshirting this season Powell (not injury related) is considering taking a redshirt this season, Chris Murray of Nevada Sports Net reports.

Impact Powell may redshirt this season as he is not expected to see much playing time. He played 33 games (all off the bench) last season for the Wolfpack, but the return of Hunter McIntosh has pushed him further down the depth chart. Head coach Steve Alford said the two have talked about potentially redshirting this season, which is why he has not seen the floor yet. Alford added that the decision is ultimately up to Powell and what he wants to do with his career.
