Impact The report was actually to indicate that Wesley was bumped in the head while diving for a loose ball at practice (no serious injury expected), but the fact he's full-go on the court suggests he's back from the foot injury that cost him the entire 2020-21 campaign. Wesley posted 5.7 points and 3.4 assists across 20 games (10 starts) for the Ragin Cajuns back in the 2019-20 season, and should again be vying for a starting backcourt spot -- likely at point guard -- in the upcoming season.

Impact Head coach Bob Marlin confirmed after Thursday's game against Louisiana-Monroe that Wesley won't return to the floor this season as a result of his foot injury. Wesley didn't appear in a game all season because of the issue. The specifics of the injury are unknown, but Wesley will look to rehabilitate the issue in order to get back to playing next season.

No timetable for return Wesley's foot injury is now considered a "long-term" problem, and he doesn't have a clear timetable for his return, according to Tim Buckley of The Daily Advertiser.

Impact Wesley is yet to play this season and, according to head coach Bob Marlin, it doesn't sound as he'll be back on the court any time soon. Wesley's last game for Louisiana-Lafayette was on Mar. 9 this year, and he averaged 5.7 points per game in 2019-20.
