Records seventh double double Awaka accumulated 12 points (5-6 FG, 2-9 FT), 12 rebounds and two blocks over 20 minutes during Thursday's 81-59 victory over UCF.

Impact Awaka needed just 20 minutes to pull off his seventh double double, six of which have occurred with him coming off the bench. The reserve big man ripped down four of his 12 boards on the offensive end and added two blocks as he dominated the paint against the overmatched Knights. Awaka's previous double double came a couple of games ago against Iowa State, the team he and the Wildcats will face in Friday's Big 12 tournament semifinal.

Records fifth double double Awaka registered 10 points (4-7 FG, 2-2 FT), 13 rebounds and one block over 22 minutes during Tuesday's 87-80 win over Baylor.

Impact Awaka started his third-consecutive game in place of the injured Koa Peat and recorded his fifth double double of the season to help the Wildcats quell Baylor's upset bid. The senior big man had totaled 10 points and 12 rebounds combined in his two previous starts and is averaging 9.7 points and 9.1 rebounds through 15 conference games.

Steps up off bench Awaka ended with 16 points (5-6 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 5-7 FT), 12 rebounds and two assists in 37 minutes during Saturday's 78-75 OT loss to Texas Tech.

Impact Awaka took advantage of a season-high 37 minutes by posting his fourth double double of the season though it wasn't enough to prevent Arizona from losing their second straight after starting the season with 23 consecutive wins. The reserve big man saw 10 more minutes than his previous high-water mark thanks in large part to the loss of Koa Peat, who left the game after 11 minutes with a quadriceps injury. Peat's status moving forward is worth monitoring when it comes to Awaka because he would almost certainly move into the starting lineup and see a major uptick in minutes should Peat be forced to sit out for any length of time. As it stands Awaka is a high-quality production-per-minute player, averaging 10.5 points, 9.3 rebounds and 0.9 blocks while playing just 22.8 minutes in 12 games against Big 12 foes.
