Impact While the 22 points notched were a season-best, despite attempting his fewest shots of the year, Simpkins also was responsible for seven turnovers -- the fourth game in a row in which he's coughed up the ball multiple times. Impact Simpkins' 20 points were a season high as he continued his strong start in Eugene. He was hot from distance, shooting 50 percent, which was good to see after two rough games from beyond the arc. Impact Simpkins will take his talents to the Big Ten Conference following a standout season with Elon. The 6-foot-4 junior appeared in 27 games during his time with the Pheonix (24 starts), averaging 16.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.1 steals on 29.8 minutes per game. Simpkins, who shot 36.7 percent from range this past season (5.9 attempts per game), will look to carve out a role with the Ducks next fall.
