More canceled games on tap The St. Joseph's program announced Sunday that they are pausing all basketball activities due to a positive COVID-19 test, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.
Impact Funk and the Hawks already had Monday's game against Seton Hall canceled and now will likely have to cancel at least their next two games against Villanova (Dec. 2) and Temple (Dec. 12). This has the implications to affect other teams as they've already played Auburn and Kansas to kick off the season.

Impact Funk has had opposite performances in the team's first two games of the season. He went off for 28 points in the opener and then cooled off for a meager seven points in the blowout loss to Kansas. The matchup of Funk against Seton Hall's Sandro Mamukelashvili would've been a fun one to watch but now the team will focus on preparing for No. 3 Villanova on Wednesday.

Impact Funk erupted for 28 points in the Hawks opener against Auburn, but were completely overmatched here. They've given up 90+ points in two games thus far, and that is only going to lead to more offensive opportunity for Funk and his teammates. Funk looks poised to serve in a complementary role to Ryan Daly after playing in just seven games last year due to a hand injury.

Impact Funk suffered a hand injury last season that forced him to miss the final 25 games, but it doesn't look like the starting center will have any limitations for the opener. He presumably draws a matchup against freshman JT Thor in the paint, a four-star recruit out of Georgia.
