Puts up season-high 27 points Pettiford recorded 27 points (10-19 FG, 3-8 3Pt, 4-4 FT), four rebounds, two assists, one block and three steals across 37 minutes during Wednesday's 85-74 victory over St. John's.

Impact Pettiford had nine points at halftime, but he and Keyshawn Hall dominated the second half. Each time St. John's seemed like they were going to close the gap, the 6-1 sophomore hit a huge shot. He enjoyed his time in the Players Era Festival and averaged 22.3 points in the three Las Vegas games. Maybe this performance will spark the rest of his season.

Pettiford is averaging 13.4 points and 3.1 assists. He will look to set up the offense a bit better on Wednesday against St. John's.

Impact The 6-1 sophomore has struggled out of the gate offensively and is hitting just 33.3 percent of his field goals and 19.5 percent of his 3-pointers. He was able to get to the basket against the Ducks and give himself some easier shots. Despite the shooting woes, Pettiford has been able to score in double digits in four of six games and is averaging 13.0 points and 3.5 assists. The Tigers plays Michigan on Tuesday, which will challenge Pettiford's offensive production.
